Spokane native Tyler Johnson brought the Stanley Cup home, and I was there! His WHL club, the Spokane Chiefs, hosted hundreds of local diehard hockey fans as we lined up in 95 degree heat to get our picture with the Stanley Cup — awarded in 2020 and 2021 to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Additionally, I met Seattle Kraken superfan Paul Buxton and got my picture taken with the keeper of the Cup, Phil Pritchard.
