Manon Rheaume's Legacy: 29 Years Later
Manon Rheaume became the first woman to appear in NHL action 29 years ago today — playing 20 minutes in net for the Tampa Bay Lightning in an exhibition game vs the St Louis Blues on September 23, 1992. Rheaume played professionally from 1992-1998 for the Lightning, along with teams in the IHL and ECHL. This video explores her competitive spirit and drive through the years, in addition to how she has passed that mindset to girls as a coach for the Little Caesars youth hockey program. Hopefully she has earned a trip to the Hockey Hall of Fame, as her story is inspiring, to say the least!Support TWH:• Buy Twisted Wrister Hockey Merch: https://streamlabs.com/twistedwristerhockey/merch• Like, Subscribe, and Follow @Nick_Pinkerton (Twitter) + @twistedwristerhockey (Instagram) for banger hockey content multiple times a week. • PayPal: twistedwristermister@gmail.com• Venmo: @twistedwristerhockeyBusiness & collaboration inquiries: twistedwristermister@gmail.comIf you'd like to send a letter or a small package:Nick PinkertonPO Box 234 Hayden, ID 83835Thanks for tuning in,Nick \m/#twistbrigade #nhl #HockeyIsForEveryone
